Welcome to Music

My name is Ms. Boland and I'm the music teacher at Russell.  This is my 8th year here at Russell, and my 10th year teaching.  I love teaching music to young people!  If you stopped by the music room, you would see students singing, playing instruments, and moving to music.  Every class at Russell uses the Orff Instruments.  These are instruments with bars like the xylophones, metallophones, and glockenspiels.  We are lucky at Russell to have SO many instruments!  Fourth and Fifth grade students work on the soprano recorder.  Click on the Recorder link to the right to learn more.  We also have two after school groups, Chorus and Instrument Ensemble, for 4th and 5th grade students.  I hope you will come back often to see what's happening in music.
